Blanca Brandenburg, LPN and Program Manager

Blanca was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora Mexico. She is an only child and was an early achiever, learning to read by the age of 4 thanks to her grandparents guidance. By the age of 17 she nearly had her degree in Chemistry, but put her career on hold to raise a family.

Blanca came to Tucson in 1981 determined to succeed. She returned to college and prospered even though she didn't know the English language well at the time she enrolled.

Blanca says she is a tough manager but we can report that her staff and the residents love her. In her own words, "I can be demanding, bossy, hard headed, and I have a strong personality. But, I am also happy, caring, loving and committed to those around me."

Blanca is currently going to school to obtain her RN license. She hopes to get a bachelors degree and a Masters in Nursing so she can become a nursing instructor someday.

When she became a U.S. Citizen in February of 2010, Blanca was so happy she came to the office singing and dancing! Blanca is a very passionate person. She deeply cares about the people she works with and works for. She demands the best for everyone especially the people she cares for in the home. She does not ask her staff to do anything she would not do and works with them side-by-side.

Blanca says Danville is a great place to work. The residents have become her extended family and Catalina has become her second home.
