Our History
Danville Services Corporation has been providing high quality service and supports to people with disabilities since 1986. What started as a management company supporting non-profits in developing their buildings and procedures soon evolved into a full service company. Since its inception, the philosophy of Danville has been to provide the best service in the best environments. We began as two side-by-side group homes in Riverton, Utah and soon grew to include other living arrangements such as supervised apartments, supported living arrangements, supported employment and day training services. Within a few years the Danville name was stamped throughout Northern Utah in such places as Provo, Orem and Bountiful.
As our expertise grew, so did our area of service. In 1992 we crossed the border into Nevada and began providing service in a group home setting. Now, over a decade later Danville Services of Nevada, L.L.C. is among the largest provider in the Las Vegas area. Our staff are among the most committed in any industry.
In 1997 we responded to a Request for Providers to help transition a number of individuals from the institution in Salem, Oregon to homes in the community. Our strong commitment to and experience in providing supports to those who have significant medical needs enabled us to create our first home staffed 24 hours per day with nurses. In addition to this medically intense home Danville Services of Oregon, L.L.C., developed several more homes throughout the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon.
Tucson, Arizona was the site of our most recent expansion. Building on our experience and expertise once again found us focusing on medically fragile programs. Since 2002, Danville Services of Arizona, L.L.C. has not only supported adults with significant needs but also children. Breaking the mold of group homes, we have furthered the idea of family support within a home. Our children’s homes are designed to transition children from hospitals to their homes allowing parents to stay and learn all the procedures their children will require upon moving back home.
Our willingness to travel to remote and rural areas in the western states in which we operate have given us a unique perspective of the current needs of the DD/MR population. Our reputation has remained strong as have our relationships with all of the various stakeholders in the States we do business. We owe our success to the direct support professionals we employ, the management team that supports them and the people who receive our services. We hope to continue our conscience and controlled growth in the near future.
