Danville Services of Oregon provides an array of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families as well as consultation services to other provider agencies.
Danville accepts referrals from local Community Developmental Disability Programs (CDDP), Support Service Brokerages, local school or education service districts (ESD) and also engages in private-pay arrangements with individuals and/or their families.
In Oregon, most services can be categorized as either a “Comprehensive Service,” in which access and funding flows through a Community Developmental Disability Program, or alternatively through a “Support Service Brokerage.” All individuals with a qualifying disability in Oregon are entitled, at a minimum, to services through the Support Service Brokerage system.
The majority of services Danville provides are funded through the local Community Developmental Disability Programs. Therefore, all questions related to eligibility, funding and/or to request a referral to a Danville-operated program should be directed to the local CDDP. Links to each CDDP and Support Service Brokerage can be found in the FAQ section.
Below is a brief description of the types of services Danville provides in Oregon:
24-hour Residential/in-home Support: Danville provides 24-hour staffing and support in small, licensed “group homes” (2-5 people living together in a rented home) and in “supported living” arrangements where services are delivered in a person’s own home or apartment. The licensed and certified programs have separate funding and regulatory streams and requirements. What is common to both types of 24-hour services is Danville’s commitment to crafting unique and highly-individualized plans of support for each person participating in a Danville service.
Less than 24-hour Support: Danville also provides in-home and community support to individuals who do not require the structure or continuous staffing that is offered in a 24-hour program. Danville typically provides these types of services in “supported living” arrangements. Similar services can also be arranged through a Support Service Brokerage.
Employment Support: Danville employs nationally-certified Supported Employment specialists to assist individuals with their job searches, placement, work site modifications and with on-going support to maintain existing jobs or to assist with enhancing skills that could lead to promotion opportunities. All placements provide at least minimum wage and, when possible, access to the employer’s benefits packages.
Community Integration (alternatives to employment): Danville offers both facility-based and individualized, non-facility based day programs. Individuals participating in one of Danville’s day programs contribute to their local communities through a variety of volunteer opportunities (Meals on Wheels, Community Gardens, adopted roadside trash removal, etc.), participation in individual and group recreational activities, music and art therapy as well as a variety of other structured activities. Danville also offers high school transition and job-related support services through contracts with local school districts.
In-home Support Services: Danville offers Brokerage, private-pay clients and other service provider agencies a variety of supports including respite care, household domestic supports, financial management and specialized consultation in the areas of behavioral support, nursing and physical therapy. Danville maintains vendor arrangements with all of the Support Service Brokerages in the upper I-5 corridor and Portland-metro area.
Transportation: Danville provides safe and reliable transportation services to individuals to and from their day programs or employment, medical appointments and for a variety of other out of home activities. Danville maintains one of the most modern and well-equipped fleets in Oregon. All Danville-approved drivers meet strict background, driving and safety requirements that exceed contract and regulatory requirements.
Representative Payee Services: Danville provides complete financial support for individuals who require it and do not have guardians, conservators or available family members willing or able to perform these functions. Danville also enters formal Representative Payee agreements with the Social Security Administration for any client who requires such an arrangement. Danville does not charge for Representative Payee services for individuals that receive any type of residential support from the agency.
